Fish fry tomorrow

A fish fry is slated from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church St., Hebron. Cost is $12 adults, $5 for children under 10. Proceeds to benefit the Church of the Holy Family elevator fund. Stations of the Cross will follow upstairs at 7:30 p.m. Contact: (860) 228-0096.

Listro disagreed with autopsy

A state police detective for the Eastern District Major Crime Squad testified Wednesday the defendant implicated in the death of an infant in foster care disagreed with state medical examiner findings.
Det. David Lamoureux said 43-year-old Suzanne Listro thought autopsy results — which ruled the death of 7-month-old Michael Brown Jr. a homicide — were wrong.

Despite protests, tuition goes up

Students will have to pay more to attend the University of Con-necticut next year after trustees Thursday voted in favor of increasing tuition, room and board fees at the state’s flagship university.
Overall, the cost to attend and live at UConn increases by 5.96 percent for in-state students and 5.77 percent for out-of-state students.
