Fall Show, Swap Meet & Auction Oct. 3 & 4 at the Zagray Farm Museum

The Quinebaug Valley Engineers Association will host the “Fall Show, Swap Meet & Auction” at the Zagray Farm Museum on Rt 85 in Colchester on Saturday and Sunday,  Oct. 3 and 4, 2009.

An educational family Fall harvest festival, it features all things mechanical.

Join us as we step back in time and enjoy a variety of interesting demonstrations and activities.

Our antique sawmill, planer and cordwood saw area will be active, as well as cable shovels, backhoes, dozers and more in our sandpit.

The auction preview and consignment is on Saturday; and the auction is at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The events include:

• Tractor Parade Saturday 1 PM
• 1873 Lane 48″ Sawmill demonstrations Sat & Sun 11 AM & 2 PM
• Oxen and/or Tractor plowing
• Free Wagon Rides & Tours of Farm Museum
• Antique Engine, Tractor, & Machinery Displays
• Kids Sandbox & Pedal Tractors
• Antique Cars & Trucks
• Breakfast, Lunch and Ice Cream Vendors
• Antique Machine Shop and Foundry
• Operating Antique Construction Equipment
• Large Swap Meet, Craft & Tag Sale Sat & Sun
• Consignment/Auction Sunday 10 AM
• Dundee Creek Doodle Bug Pulling Sunday 11 AM

The hours are 8 AM-3 PM. Admission $5 Per Carload
